GM Transmission Programming Service

This Service is for customers needing factory-level transmission programming - either before tuning or as a standalone service. It is required in certain cases to ensure proper communication and function between your TCM and transmission components.

When is this needed?

• After installing a used transmission
• After changing the valve body
• When replacing or swapping the TCM
• To update solenoid data to match the current transmission setup

This service uses GM SPS2 or Tech2 to flash and reprogram your transmission control module with latest calibration.

Not Always Required:

This Service is typically not needed on 1996-2007Classic Gen III GM vehicles using P01 or P59 type PCMs. However, it is commonly required on 2008+ GM Platforms. Also not typically needed for 4l60, 4l65, 4l70, or 4l80 transmissions, but there are some special cases, feel free to email horsepowertech.chris@gmail.com to see if this is your case.

Before requesting this service, you must ensure the transmission is mechanically sound. If no internal issues are present, this programming step is often the next step in the process.
